Though still a tad corporate-bland, the revamp has brought a fresh feel to the generously sized bedrooms: light ash-effect desks and wardrobes, aqua-toned fabrics and hugely comfortable beds. A fifth are sea-facing, and, unusual for Brighton, the triple glazing manages to eliminate traffic noise. An amenities tray features tea, coffee, kettle and biscuits, and all rooms have irons and ironing boards. Bathrooms are functional but super-clean, most with excellent showers. Themed offerings like full afternoon tea with Pimms are popular given the grand views, but book ahead.
Themed evenings include the fun Fawlty Towers Dinner with lookalikes providing characteristically haphazard service. A large television streams Sky Sports and if you've got children with you, the kids' zone alongside is supervised. Breakfast is a rather indifferent self-service buffet of hot and cold dishes.
Free Wi-Fi. The room was very clean and had all the necessities for a weekend stay. The Hotel itself was beautiful inside and had a range of services. The food was good if not a little expensive. Overall we will be using the Thistle again if we visit Brighton and were very pleased with the service they gave us.
I really enjoyed my two night stay in Thistle. I stayed in deluxe room with a sea view and I must say it was very well designed, although a bit small for the amount of money that I paid but it was cosy. I thought the staff were very friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner very nice too.

The athmosphere in the atrium. We only stayed 1 night , but the breakfast was very nice.

Comfortable beds. The lovley sea view was spoiled a bit by the fact the windows were very dirty on the outside. I guess as its on a busy road and has the salty air. The parking I thought should be free and not charged for. I came with my elderly mother and we both loved having a glass of wine in the lounge although we both found the wine to be more expensive than anywhere else. The location was brilliant. I felt for a hotel this quality there should have been robes and slippers in the room.
A digital clock by the bed, I feel, is mandatory in a hotel.

The food was adequate, not as good as I thought it would be. This hotel has a fantastic location and the staff were always cheerful and happy to help. Donations are optional and I do not appreciate the hotel trying to con customers into 'donating' to their charity. This is shameful practice. The moment you walk into the hotel you are greeted wwarmly by the staff.

Not just reception staff, but all hotel staff, and we felt that during our stay. Everyone was genuinely interested in us, and constantly asking if everything was ok, and if there was anything we needed. The hotel is spotless, tastefully furnished and the beds are really comfortable! In the restaurant the tables were laid for couples and tables of 4.

We were 3, just us and our 8 year old daughter. Expect to queue at reception - establishing a clear queuing system and perhaps a dedicated check in line or even automated check in system would work wonders. I was pleased that you generally enjoyed your time but sorry and disappointed to read about the noise disturbances that occurred. I would like to sincerely apologise for this matter. I will make certain to discuss your comments withe the rest of the management team.

The staff were excellent from booking through the meeting all the way through. Very friendly and everything was very straight forward. Nice clean rooms, great bar. The location is amazing, right on the seafront from the front, or directly into the South Laines from the back, so you can't get more central!
