Optoma hd26 projector deals
Riari Standard Member. About a year ago, after moving into a new place, I noticed it's impossible to get uniform focus with it it insists on being ever so slightly out of focus either at the top or bottom. I also happen to be keeping an eye out for a good Black Friday deal on better projector.
I just don't know whether to go down that route or try and make the best out of the HDXe assuming it's not defective. Any opinions?

Have you double checked the screen is standing completely upright? I had to send my xe into optoma for repair, my focus was not quite uniform either and they realigned the optics whilst it was in. A fairly common issue for that model I believe. I have checked the screen but only visually - it's up against a wall and seems very much parallel to that, though I could be wrong.
I'm more inclined to think it's a defect based on what you say, plus I have adjusted the height of the stand and the tilt of the projector a few times since noticing the issue and it was always there. To be honest the focus issue alone doesn't bother me hugely as I rarely notice it when watching TV or films, only when there are sharp elements being displayed text, Windows desktop, etc.
