Spa was very nice, not particularly busy and very clean. Food was tasty with a large varied menu. The only negative is that my room was above the restaurant area At I went down to ask if it could be switched off. No one was at reception but I found a staff member eventually who switched it off straight away without question and was very helpful.

Our room was fantastic, one of the suites. Staff were very attentive. Food choice was a little uninspiring but was very good when it arrived I guess that's what you get when you are a group of 29 people! Only thing we didn't like was that the main bar was not open so we had to traipse through the hotel to find an area big enough for us to sit around and chat.

Mixed feelings. Lovely reception area and staff behind desk were very friendly, went to our room which smelt musty and had no towels which were delivered prompt once asked for, next morning breakfast was in a nice clean space with lots of choice but the hot food was luke warm at best which was a shame because lots of selection and still tasted nice …. This was a three-night stay - a get-away escape for myself and my wife - we chose Llangollen for a not too difficult drive from West Yorkshire, and the Wild Pheasant because it looked good on the site and had a great room with a walk-in-shower.
Luck of the draw and we hit the jackpot. It's a lovely hotel.
Modern design, spacious, spotlessly clean. Every member of staff, young or old, was superb. Friendly, efficient, helpful. Any problem sorted instantaneously. Quiet, but to be expected in October. Breakfast buffet first class but try not to get there late. All the spacious guestrooms feature en suite bathrooms, Freeview TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
