I'm no expert at photography, but I'm pretty sure you're talking out of your ass. Go to Comment. A one of the best affordable mirrorless camera. Even has a better focusing than the A7ii. Canon or Nikon cannot compete at this price point. Many people have told you how uninformed this mistaken comment is.

The D has a newer sensor and weights just a tad less.

Yes, this is a great camera, but no idea what Nikon's future plans are for DX. Canon's shifted more or less and so has everyone else except Nikon. While you can use more expensive Nikon full frame FX lenses, it's highly unlikely that Nikon will push out any more crop DX lenses. Lots of stuff happened in the camera industry in the last few weeks with basically Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic jumping into mirrorless at the high end. Eventually this will trickle down to consumer DSLR. Nikon's D3X00 and D5X00 are great cameras, but haven't seen many improvements in about 6 years. Can this camera take great photos?
Does this camera necessarily have a future lenses? I don't know.
