I prefer the new digital Telegraph version to the old, seeing a 'proper front page' and having a visual preview of each section to navigate to. I also appreciate getting the fuller content especially at the weekend as I missed Travel' and 'Money' etc but still miss 'Just back' and 'Where in the World' and having to go separately to the Subscriber offers.

I agree that some other digital 'newspapers' are more advanced, my example being the Austrian 'Wiener Zeitung' which is free online. It resembles a broadsheet but allows the reader to double tap into any section which enlarges automatically and to use forward and back arrows at the side of each entire page to navigate back and forth. My Telegraph seems to download very quickly and automatically so I have no problems there, my only frustration is that swiping is still bit erratic; if I don't swipe an advert quick enough it REALLY ANNOYS me when it flicks me to my web browser, or if I have scrolled down the page and it inadvertently swipes back, when I recover my place I have to start at the top again.

Anyway, despite these gripes I still prefer it to the old app. I have had this app from the beginning and have experienced the odd annoyance on occasions, anything from not downloading automatically to having missing photographs that then cause it to crash before re downloading correctly. Even with the various updates these can still happen.

On the bright side it's great to be able to read the paper first thing in the morning in bed without either getting dirty hands from newsprint or needing a light on should my husband still be sleeping. It is disappointing that not all stories are online. I especially like the photo galleries and being able to go back and re read news of interest again without the need to look through paper! Since the last update the paper has crashed at least once every day. Some attraction offers may be subject to height and weight restrictions.
