Otherwise, I had an outstanding stay! Overall I had a pleasant stay, however this hotel is not really a five star hotel especially when comparing other to other five star hotels like the shangri La, park Hyatt, or even the Marriott downtown. There just a difference in how personalized theyare. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful.
The room was spacious. The bathroom so fabulous. Very helpful, genuinely friendly staff. Nice neighborhood. Immaculate room. The only downside was that my room did not have a view. The restaurant, though pricey, was consistently good. Vintage lobby and great use of a nearly year old building.

Vintage lobby and great use of a nearly year old building Pool and Rooftop bar closed from Friday till Monday for private events. While the bedroom is super comfortable, with its smart, geometric designs, it's the bathroom that really pays homage to the art deco period. Lined in snappy black and white subway tiles, there's a deep bath, excellent shower and lotions by Sydney's own Appelles Apothecary. There are only nine suites, and all are booked out tonight and the super-luxe presidential and vice-presidential suites won't be finished until May.
The Wilmot restaurant is the domain of Korean-born chef Ryan Hong. The menu includes Moreton Bay bug with edamame, peanut and watermelon, and a stand-out honey-glazed duck breast with shaved fennel and pickled apple. Hong, who hails from Korea's holiday hotspot, Jeju Island, describes the hand-caught South Coast abalone with seaweed, radish and turnip as his "hometown dish".
