The Wayland is an all-purpose bar: good for dates, good for casual drinks with a small group, and good for Happy Hour. Katana Kitten is one of the best cocktail bars in the city. Bring a friend, and either hang out in the bright upstairs area or grab a table in the room downstairs with red fluorescent lighting.
But at night it turns into a bar with a full dinner menu and a selection of obscure beers that any beer nerd will appreciate. Shocker: this boozy brunch go-to also happens to have a pretty great Happy Hour.

Tavern29 is a two-story bar with TVs, chandeliers, and exactly one thing that sets it apart: a rooftop. So if you feel like having some beef and cheez whiz while you catch whatever game is on TV, come here. So basically, a godsend for Murray Hill residents.
